The Start-ups

Represented by: Ernst von Stegmann (Co-Founder, COO & CFO), Kika Brockstedt (Co-Founder & CEO) & Vamsi Akuraju (Co-Founder & CPO)

Based in: Hamburg, Germany

What They Do: Revalu is bridging the gap between data and design. It is a platform and community for tomorrow’s designers, manufacturers, and builders. Currently, there are only limited resources available to make ecological decisions in the construction sector, and conducting thorough research is necessary as data is decentralized across various sources. This is exactly where Revalu comes in. Its mission is to break down climate complexity by making data-driven choices more accessible across the industry. The start-up provides relevant information about the environmental impacts of materials and raw materials in the construction sector.

Represented by: David Plaseller (CEO), Patrick Gössl (CTO) & Michael Streif (CDO)

Based in: Innsbruck, Austria

What They Do: Revitalyze is an award-winning platform for construction companies, project developers, and municipalities to tap into the unused resource potential of existing real estate. Using a proprietary tool, Revitalyze analyzes the stock of demolition buildings and facilitates the transfer of reusable building materials through its own digital marketplace. This helps save valuable resources and disposal expenses. The benefits include reduced disposal costs, while Revitalyze also supports building material manufacturers in increasing the proportion of recycled materials in their production, thereby driving the decarbonization of the industry.

Represented by: Emily Packer (CEO and Founder)

Based in: Berlin, Germany

What They Do: Coldharbour Tiles manufacture wall and floor tiles made from recycled plastic fishing nets. They compete with traditional tiles in terms of quality and safety, allowing designers and architects to incorporate recycled materials into luxury commercial spaces.

Represented by: Ayşe Yilmaz (Founder)

Based in: London, United Kingdom

What They Do: OTTAN is an impact-oriented startup which developed a technology to up-cycle food and agricultural waste into bio-composites as an alternative to wooden, stone, acrylic and acoustic materials. Ottan Materials are developed and designed to protect natural resources for future generations and bring waste into industry as a new raw material by creating delightful, sustainable and made to last surfaces.
